<PRE>I've just used one of those weight/body mass analyzers but not too sure on a couple of the readings I got from the print out. Does anyone know what the following are: BMR, FFM, TBW Thanks</PRE>

Bmr = basal metabolic rate. Rate at which the body consumes calories at rest.


TBW = guessing at total body weight.


FFM = (even more of a guess) Fat free mass.


FFM – FFM means fat-free mass, it is the weight of everything in your body that is not fat. FFM contains water, bone, organs, connective tissues and body muscles. FFM is inversely proportional to the body fat, so when your FFM increases body fat will decrease.
TBW- TBW Means total body water, it is the total amount of water in a body. It is calculated in pounds when tested. TBW is used to determine hydration in the body.
BMR- BMR means the Basal metabolic rate, it is the amount of energy (calories) that your body use up in a 24-hour time cycle, just to keep you alive.
