Well because if they hadn't been born the world would be a far better place.

hi sickofmorons, I am pro choice but I think your question could have been phrased a bit better, so don't be too surprised if you get a load of abuse now! Of course, maybe you're just looking for a fight lol

I call it sport!

i find it ironic that so many people (in america especially) who call themselves 'pro-life' also support capital punishment.
The phrase "depriving a village somewhere of an idiot" comes to my mind.

or the pro-life religious zealots who murder doctors and nurses who work for abortion clinics, more tragic irony.

There's a clinic in Ealing where I've heard there are religious anti-abortionists demonstrating outside with prayers and so on.. and I think it is incredibly insensitive for them to do this as the poor women inside must already be feeling pretty awful and for these people to parade outside, making them feel even worse is just terrible.

It reminds me of a friend who lived in Southern Ireland who went home (from London) for her father's funeral and visited a family planning clinic -for the contraceptive pill. She was confronted by a sworm of women outside the clinic who started jeering her and said 'you couldn't wait til they buried your poor father, before you started whoring around'.

Beggars belief, doesn't it!

morg_monster, I have also noticed that irony.

Just as ironic is a lot of these campaigners are also men, WTF do they know about going through an abortion/unwanted pregnancy?

Don't even get me started on another group of ironic morons, the anti human brigade (ie:- anti animal testing groups and the sort) who protest over the waste of animals' lives without giving a second thought to killing a human being in the process.

To be honest HealthI would like to say I am shocked, but I'm not even remotely suprised by the level of insensity and pure evil reached by religious (and usually particularily Catholic) lunatics. Still as long as they have Jesus on their side they must be right- they make me sick.
Are there often pro life campaigners outside abortion clinics?
Question Author

Yes Milly- particularily in the US where they often demonstrate and camp outside,

but what about in the UK? None of you know me so I don't feel I have to keep it a secret that I am having a termination next week and now im petrified there are going to be people outside hurling abuse at me. its not always as cut and dry as a woman just being stupid and getting pregnant.
Milly : there is VERY little chance of there being any of those aforementionned morons present next week. I've never heard of anything like that happening in the UK. Do NOT even think about them. You are doing what is RIGHT , as I'm sure you've thought about it long enough, bless you ! This sort of thing is hard enough to go through without having a bunch of retards telling you what THEY think is right. I'm sending you my best wishes, and lots of cuddles.
Question Author
Milly- Maximo is right fortunately in this country things are a little more sensible over here. Please don't worry you are doing the right thing, I wish you all the best.
love to Milly x
Thank you very much for your kind words and reassurance. I feel a bit better about that now.
Milly, i have to tread carefully here. The choice is up to you no matter what but have you spoken with a counseller and considered all your options? This is a huge decision you're making. You should maybe talk to other women who have gone through it. There are thousands of couples out there who cant have children and would give their right arm for the chance to adopt. would you not consider this as an alternative? in any case milly, i wish you well and good luck.
Hi Shazbang, believe me, I have thought of nothing else since finding out I was pregnant. My partner and I have talked at length about all of the options and whilst we did consider adoption we just feel it's not suitable for us. There are many factors which led to our decision and it was not a decision taken lightly but we believe it to be the right one for us. I can appreciate the other side of the arguement but it's not as easy when you're in the position yourself.
