Should beards be banned and is there anyone who currently appears on the television who would support such a ban.

You will observe from the number of media people and politicians - some are both - that beards are a minority fashion statement these days. Some people subconciously mistrust men with beards, and a lot of women don't like the look or feel of them on their partners. As for banning them - I believe in freedom of choice - the worst that can be said is that it makes cause for comment, as Billy Connolly knows very well.

That's an odd thing to say Bobbobley; '[Beards] are ridiculous'! Okay, you can grow a beard in such a way that it looks daft, but I'm sure I'm not alone in hardly noticing whether someone has a beard or not.

Anyway, I have a beard myself. Any other beardy folk out there like to team up and defeat this beard facisim?

Weren't bears compulsory in Afghanistan? - sorry, beards.
hahaha stephen fry with a beard. i thought that was a thinly veiled sexual reference at first. sure let's ban beards along with long hair, anyone over 40 and people with B.O. Is it just me or do some of the points on here get sillier at the weekend.
By the term 'beard' do you mean the name for a woman when she marries a gay man, in order for him to appear heterosexual?
But I think (facial) beards are usually there to conceal a weak chin or funny shaped mouth. Also, man has spent millions of years evolving and losing body hair, so let's not take a step backward and actually grow facial hair ' out with the razors lads!
Xyzzy - they sure were, if you wanted to go to a stoning. I like beards and they are environmentally friendly.
