Consultant just called me. She said the lump on my arm, just above my elbow, is a granuloma. I've never heard of it, so I asked her more details and she said basically the results will now go to my doctor and that he will discuss further tests/investigations with me. So all I know now is that it's got a name!

I had one of them years ago.  It had built around a tiny shard of metal that had embedded itself in my leg when I using an angle grinder.  I had it removed, thankfully it was no bother and yours will be much the same.

I'm pleased it's good news.

So relieved for you. What a relief.

Granulomas aren't cancerous.

Ahhh Thankyou so much everyone. Is it connected that my blood test results show that my white cell blood count is 3.8 and it shud be between 4 -11?

I've only just seen this. That's basically very good news...I'm pleased for you Smow.

great news Smow, a relief for you

That is good news, and I am sure the low cells account is nothing to worry about, if it was it would have been picked up before now.
