Doctor Just Rang With Mri Results
Long story short, she said it wasn't clear, and that I need a further scan and a biopsy. She then said it looked like bursitis but they weren't sure. I said isn't bursitis meant to be very painful, and also red & inflammed. She said yes. Well I don't have any of that - it's not red, it's not sore at all, and it isn't even on the elbow joint, it's above it. She admitted I was correct with all of that. Sooooo, could it still be C or not? Well yes it could be but we need to rule it out with a further scan. Thought that's what the MRI was for??....
So.... no further forward, bottom line is that they haven't a clue 🙄🙄🙄

If they only knew how much time and energy some people struggle to give up to get to these nerve-wracking appointments. Such a disappointing set back, only to go all through it again! Hope it all goes better next time. All we want is a little peace of mind 😊
Thanks Ark x
For those that weren't aware a few weeks ago I had a solid lump appear on my arm literally overnight - it's on my inner right arm & about 2 inches above my elbow. It's solid, and about an inch & a half in circumference. Doesn't hurt at all but it's very obvious. One day I was showering and it 100% wasn't there, the nxt morning was! Left a week to see if it went down, which it didn't, saw doc who sent me for ultrasound, he rang with results and said it needed an MRI, hence one I've just had......
Thanks JJ, WW,OG,Barry, Rosetta, Hazlinny,Patsy, Arky, - did I miss anyone?? lol.
Yes I thought bursitis was meant to be incredibly painful too, so I'm 100% certain it's not that. Am frustrated as I was absolutely sure the MRI would give a very detailed picture of exactly what was inside this lump, and therefore give me an answer. At least they are doing all this as quickly as they can and not leaving me for weeks and weeks inbetween tests I guess.
Hi L-I-K & Jno. Ahhh , is it Jno,tho still doesn't sound right. This just looks so bizarre - it's as if someone's got a solid gold ball, sliced it in half and slid it under the skin. Like I said it's about 2 inches above the elbow. ( and if one more doctor asks me "are you SURE you haven't whacked your arm??"........)
