I wonder if any of you who are so disparaging about people who have ADHD watched a programme called Inside Our Mind which was on BBC2, at 9pm on Monday. It explained what causes ADHD, what it means to have it and how to face up to it. Maybe, if you are able to watch catchup, you should give the programme a look.

Sometimes it is better to stay silent and be thought a fool than to speak and confirm it.

I knew there would be at least one person talking out of the top of their head. If you have no idea what you are talking about, best to keep quiet!

Roo pity you can't give yourself BA.

What a load of old pony, everything is a "syndrome" these days. No doubt there are a few genuine cases but most of them are just jumping on the bandwagon so they have an excuse. No one had ADHD when I was a saucepan.

It was probably there when you were a basin of gravy but not recognised as such!

Yes they did, TTT. They just ha different labels

I watched it and enjoyed it. I really felt for the middle-aged woman. She certainly wasn't the unruly brat of idiot parents.

It was the second in a series. The first was last year and focused on autism. Next week's program is dyslexia.

no doubt the case featured is genuine but most of them are just jumping on the bandwagon because they now have a label to stand behind.

Of course you know better than the experts, TTT.

These "experts" are like the "Cobra effect".

Tora, just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I do understand it and I know there are real cases. I contend that most of the "cases" are just unruly brats with useless parents.

And the last word goes to ....................

....me!

In yer dreams!

TTT...what of the adults being diagnosed...people in their 40s...50s...older, and retired? Are they unruly brats? Or are they living with it by developing coping mechanisms, fearful they are developing dementia?
