My scooter is fully charged with green lights lit but when I switch on the red light flashes and an alarm sounds. The scooter still drives normally.  Does anyone know what the alarm is for?

Have you checked that the battery is connected securely?

Question Author

Yes, it just drops in and is secure.

I don't know what to suggest.  How old is it and where did you buy it from?

Question Author

Age is unknown and it was second hand.

If you haven't got the manual it is probably online. What model is it?

Apart from looking at the manual I can only suggest you phone a local supplier for advice.  Your scooter is made by Wheeltech but I can't find a contact number for them

From Gemini https://gemini.google.com
The alarm may be due to the position of the control lever for forward and backward movement.
Your scooter may also have a freewheel lever at the rear that needs to be engaged in the "DRIVE" position.

Got a scooter man in who found it was just the horn button stuck on, we didn't even know it had a horn!!

Glad it's sorted.
