I suspect that a dispensing optician would probably mutter the word 'blepharitis' and try to sell you an expensive cleaning product.  (Mine did!)https://www.ouh.nhs.uk/patient-guide/leaflets/files/75660blepharitis.pdfI find though that simply cleaning my eyelids (and around my eyes generally) each morning with cotton wool pads dipped into...

Cotton wool dipped in cooled boiled water

I suspect that a dispensing optician would probably mutter the word 'blepharitis' and try to sell you an expensive cleaning product.  (Mine did!)

I find though that simply cleaning my eyelids (and around my eyes generally) each morning with cotton wool pads dipped into hot water is all that's actually needed.

You may also find that you can PREVENT the problem by applying warm compresses (or using a heated eye-mask) every day and massaging your eyelids.

I have both blepharitis and dry eyes.

I give my eyes a thorough wash and massage in the shower every morning, I don't use any special wash stuff, just the hot shower water does the trick.

I then use a heated eye mask/pad about four times a week, more if my eyes are having a flare up. The mask goes in the microwave for 45 seconds, I then press the heated mask to my eyes for about two minutes, it starts to go too cold for any longer. I then massage my eye lids, top and bottom, and can actually feel the viscous tears start to flow a bit.

This routine works well for me, others have different routines which work for them.

Vagus...very similar to you. I use an electric eyemask (usb) which I've found easier to use..there is a timer and temperature control (so it never goes cold!).

Must look into that Ginge, thanks 👍

Heated eye masks are wonderful for dry sore eyes.  But Mags might need chloramphenicol drops, Mags ask at the pharmacy.
