... looms.
Should we be worried by Monkey Pox? How contagious is it and how dangerous?

I hope that it won't be like the Corona Virus that started with just a few cases and then developed into a worldwide pandemic. The U.K. already has 57 cases of Monkey Pox and the number is rising . We could be facing travel bans and isolation periods once again. This time the isolation periods would be for 21 days and this would lead to lots of employment problems.
It won't andres. Vast numbers of people are vaccinated against smallpox, to start with, and that is protection. Also it is an extremely mild disease and hard to catch, as you should have read.
One does not need to worry, but one needs to keep a careful assesment of this disease.
andres
there is more to an epidemic than just - - the disease is there or 'the disease has arrived'

and altho it is not sexually transmitted, there is a particular activity that seems to occur commonly
but let us get one thing straight between us - if you keep your nads to yourself you will not be infected
hands, hands - - nads looks like gonads, which I did not mean at all
You cannot keep running from fear to fear.
"You cannot keep running from fear to fear"
Worked all through the pandemic, mixed with hundreds of people, used public transport, etc.
Got covid once and was ill for a day,

Carry on living in fear, I'll live my life please.
BTW, no jabs here and still living.
Not to boast but just because i dont believe in whats going on.
Why would you want to put something in your body that has no known long term side affects?

Nailit, probably for the same reason that people continue to put things into their body that DO have known side effects, like cigarettes and alcohol?
Each to their own I guess?
//One does not need to worry, but one needs to keep a careful assesment of this disease.//

Indeed one does.
And I can bet that one does not find an unvaxxinated person in this group.

Its almost like the early stages of an immunodeficiency group.
///people continue to put things into their body that DO have known side effects, like cigarettes and alcohol? ////

People of all ages and times have known what they consume.
And the effects and side effects!

Sticking a DNA experimental drug into their skin is a different animal....
Experimental DNA drug?
I don’t follow.
Is that your opinion? Or you have independent medical research and data that proves as much?
Not sure that some have always known what it is they consume.
Evidence of their deaths at recent music festivals etc has proven that, you can Google it.
a hundred cases in UK
so it is a problem - which I denied sozza chaps

small pox vaccine cross reacts, and anyway the mortality is less than 1% in advanced areas so no it wont be a problem

very readable review here

ABers are all in the group of olds who had smallpox vaccne and are therefore protected
