Ok - so I’ve googled it and basically amongst other things I need to introduce 6 x 20 mins of cardio. Now in addition to my 10k steps a day which is normal for me - when it says cardio what should I be aiming for? I have a treadmill and rowing machine (both virtually untouched) but what should I be looking to aim for heart rate wise etc
Hope this makes sense

TIA

I'm not being facetious here but would walking faster increase your heart rate safely?
Just eat less
I don't know about cardio but eating less calories and fat will work.

I think the 'other things' might be a diet.
Would you not be better to take a more gradual approach, a month seems too soon IMO?

Well today’s out - I’ve just been told I’ve been bought some chilli chips

BTW - a dress size is about 10lbs
You don't have to eat those chilli chips you know. That's one way to start. The other way which I go on and on about...is to drop the carbs and sugar (carbs convert to sugar). Eat as much unprocessed food as you can...no ready meals. Eat until you feel satisfied. If you must count calories, be sensible. Too low is counter productive and what is the point if you are constantly hungry and thinking about food? An egg is a lot more satisfying than a plate of lettuce.
Ok...That's my rant over.
Oh, and just do a bit more walking...a bit more and a bit faster as you progress.
If you have a lot of weight to lose , losing that weight in a month will be very easy. If you are within normal weight, already eat healthily overall and exercise it is going to be a lot harder.
Find a different outfit, it will be far easier and less anxiety inducing

I have realistically got three stones to lose though I’d probably be happy with two
I’m not sure how I can eat much more healthy - last week every lunch was salad wrap - no cheese or meat - tea was mostly pasta and pesto
I can’t go the Keto way because I don’t eat eggs or advocate fish or chicken!
You may be eating healthily, but you probably need to eat less.

Keep a food diary to assess how much you are eating. Be totally honest and write everything down. Sometimes you might decide not to eat something, because you can't be bothered to write it down.
You can drop a dress size in five minutes. Simply buy a dress from a different shop. Ladies' dress sizing is a farce. Mrs NJ has garments that are two sizes apart with the so-called smaller ones bigger than the larger. No need to lose any weight.
So true , New Judge!! I just bought some joggers to wear indoors in my usual size. I reckon they would fit the front legs of an elephant and length wise the would fit someone about 7'. I could wear them as a jump suit. I could pull them up to my shoulders!! They came from Next!
Wonder if Rumpole ever thinks of Dropping a wig size? the one he wears is far to small for the size of his head.
Ric.ror, wraps and pasta are high in carbs. Ditch the carbs. Eat more protein and veg. Also, if you drink alcohol give it up. I lost a stone quite easily after giving up wine.
Like cloverjo said...wraps and carbs are high in carbs. You need good quality protein to both fill you up so you are satisfied, and to give you energy. Get your carbs from lots of green leafy veg and cruciferous such as broccoli and cauliflower. Instead of pasta, make noodles from courgette and butternut squash. Most berries are low sugar. Have seeds and nuts for crunchy snacking.

What a surprise! - after starting the week getting weighed I was pleasantly surprised that I was 4kgs lighter than I imagined! That’s what being to busy to eat anything other than a quick sub here and there does for me
Anyway I’ve been fairly good all week but I’m not going to get weighed more than once a week

Thanks for all your answers
