Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had had the same experience as me when dreaming. I dream every night and remember them 9 out of 10 times. I sometimes have awful nightmares but am able to say to myself in my dream "wake up" and I do. Is this unusual? Thanks.

well the good thing is you're wakening up
Not entirely unusual. Most people don't, but it's certainly well-known that some people are aware enough to realise they are dreaming, sometimes.
the one dream that frightens me - is when I go down down down the dark hole - then I think I'm dying

jennyjoan I think that is when your blood pressure drops for some reason.
i have dreams where i've actually woken up laughing but can't remember why x
Occasionally I have a bad dream, I never remember what the dream is, but in my dream I know that if I shout then mr puzz will wake me up by shaking me.
I'm pretty good at remembering dreams too. Sometimes I have reoccurring dreams or dreams that are a continuation of a theme.

I rarely have nightmares or dreams that stray towards that territory. I'm able to stir myself from them in my sleep before they go in that direction. It's like a little notification that says this is a no go zone.
