He's now having morning zoomies...as soon as I come downstairs he starts chirping and meowing. Then charging about.
This morning, as I was opening the curtains, he jumped up on the table next to me and came right up to my side. He looked as if he wanted a rub. I turned around and he did the same again - allowing my hand near him on the table...then flopped on his side and showed his belly.
He's sleeping on the chair opposite me...big fluffy tummy fully exposed.
We are making progress. :))

Lovely news!

. . . BUT, no pictures???

:(
sounds lovely - my cat chirps in the morning as a greeting and when she comes in after being out for a while - thinks she is a bird!!! Love to see a photo of your cat.

yay for toby (sorry in my head he's still called Tubby) and yay for pasta.
How's cleo getting on with her new house?
Truly, great progress for the pair of you. Lovely to read.

Pasty I would definitely say Toby is settled in!
Now that's a PROPER cat, Pasta! Zonked out, clearly knowing that he's lord of all he surveys. (He must have been getting lessons from my Chequers!).

;-)
He just keeps on getting more gorgeous than ever ;-)

Lol!...same here bednobs.
Cleo settled in almost immediately...owns the bed and all available laps. Helps with WFH.

APG, he's a much happier cat now. I might even be able to stroke him soon. I want him to come to me.
He looks very relaxed!! He is a big cat - dwarfs mine!!
You really are :-). He looks so relaxed. It may seem a while, and he obviously needed time and reassurance, but it's extra rewarding for that...
Sorry, I missed something about Cleo, is she ok? X
Question Author
Chris...he's a big huge boy...what's known as a cobby cat. I think he'd need 2 laptops to stretch across ;)
Question Author
Pixie...Cleo has gone to my daughter's. She suggested it about 2 visits ago due to Cleo bullying Toby. They saw it first hand when they visited bank holiday weekend. They've also got a mouse on their flat...so maybe Cleo will catch it. x
Nah, she'll play with it and leave it to scare them:-). That decision is hard, but does seem to have helped?
I was gutted, when I had to agree to my daughter taking my 16 year old cat to hers... they had always lived with dogs and just immediately put them in their place, which they did when Charlie arrived.
Unfortunately, while the other 2 continued to ignore him, she still ran, so he chased. She ended up just sitting permanently on the upstairs bannister.... I felt awful, but I see her at my daughter's now, sprawled on the settee on her back purring.
Sometimes, you just have to do what is needed xx
11.26 can't relax can he :-)
Question Author
^^^haha. Nope, not at all. He's working on it though.
I'm so pleased. He is finally feeling confident in his home, and enjoying life.

It took our rescue cat many months to realise her life wasn't going to fall apart again.
Fantastic. You'll wake up with him on the bed soon. Shame about Cleo but there are now two households with a cat in charge, having their humans attending to their every need.
