My Grandaughter is 11 months old and is currently cutting her back teeth through.
I have six children of my own aged from 7 to 19, and when my children were going through teething stages we would use Bonjela and Ashton Parsons teething powder.
But for little Lottie these are giving her no relief at all, she's off her food and taking very little fluids and is extremely distressed. My daughter Lillie (Mum) is in the middle of her A Levels, so being back in college with a very distressed baby and sleepless nights is causing a great deal of angst. I have heard about Amber bracelets but I wondered if anyone had any experience of these and whether they were found to be useful?
Also a little worried about the safety of such a device with a young baby who puts everything in her mouth.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as both mum and baby are suffering a great deal at the moment.

Maybe putting a dummy in the freezer. I used this on my children
When my 4 were teething, we used teething rings which we kept in the fridge when not in use. We found that this, coupled with Bonjela, alleviated the baby's discomfort long enough for them to occasionally drop off to sleep and give everyone that spell of relief.
Freeze teething rings, calpol at bedtime, gripe water if still available. Freeze some jelly in mini ice cubes. Bickie pegs also if still available. Don't know about the bracelets!
She will require some pain relief as well .
Does she have calpol?
It's a long long time since I had my children, but one of them (now 41) is coming round later with her 2 children so I will ask her for advice.
i would agree if its making her this miserable, calpol is the way to go
never had babies but know many mothers who swore by the Calpol
,my daughter put Amber necklaces on her daughters and didn't really have much teething troubles with them.

My daughter has given the baby calpol but still not giving much relief, we are waiting on a delivery today of the Amber bracelet and hoping that it will help.
Will keep you all posted thank you :-)
What is this ‘ amber bracelet ‘ ?
Similar to jw47 one of our grand daughters has been wearing an Amber necklace since she was very small and dont think she has had much trouble with teething. Can't say it's the necklace but can't say it's not either. Worth a try but they are not cheap.
These sound complete hocus-pocus like bracelets for arthritis. Not only that there are safety risks with necklaces/beads on babies. I understand if you're desperate but I wouldn't use one on a baby of mine.
