Has anyone had or been given Physiotherapy over the phone and how did it go?...this is a serious question, as this seems all I've got to look forward to, on this part of my treatment anyway, while the cancellations just pile up and up!

I did - for a painful & stiff shoulder. Both my GP & the physio gave advice & exercises without having seen me. It was useless & did no good at all, I finally paid for private steroid injections which cured the problem.
My daughter was given this and it went as well as you might expect.

She's currently awaiting a scan for an accurate diagnosis as to the root of the problem and what treatment should be given.

Don't forget now, protect the NHS.
I have, and it is totally useless. I still see my osteopath privately. Over the years my experience with NHS physios has been dreadful face to face, let alone by phone. In desperation this week I have gone privately to a spinal orthopaedic consultant who had diagnosed my needs as urgent and he will operate quickly on the nhs. I feel very lucky.

It will probably depend what is needed. Exercises can be given in a video call but I would have thought for the first visit at least a hands on approach would be the best

Good for you Pat and brave of you Dave and I'm thinking private too, not for injections, bubt... - and Douglas, it's difficult not to feel uncharitable when you're feeling terrible, but I do not forget the NHS in anyway - there must be reasons for what happends, I just wish someone would tell me why!
Question Author
Yeah well Cal, video would be no good for me and the sort of techniques there are, ACBT, they include percussive and that, as you say, is hands on!
Woodelf. Just to say hello again after many years. I used to be Lofty Lottie and we spoke frequently. I am so pleased find you again. Are you still painting. Big smiles and blowing you a kiss.

Well - shouted in million feet high letters - what a brilliant Surprise Pat or Lottie - I feel better already!...filling up with tears I am!...was looking through some old threads, sorry, halcyon threads and kept seeing your name and wishing...oh, I can hardly write...this is Absolutely Great, I am So Very Glad to See You again Pat/Lottie...I suppose Pat for being proper terms on AB, but you will be forever Lottie!...now I'll go and have a quiet weep!...cor, says someone in the wings, what a drip - I don't care, stickyout tongue...smile! Bye for now Pat!
You have so cheered me up. Life has been very difficult for some time now due to health issues. And you have raised a lot of smiles. By all means call me Lottie! I prefer her to pat. Pat is a lot more bad tempered and doesn't always behave on this site!! she doesnt suffer fools gladly these days.

Have you still got your website? I can't remember what the name of it was. Old age!!!

More hugs and blows another kiss over the air waves. Huge smile.

I'd love to see Lofty Lottie's avatar return..... :-)

No Lottie, the website wasn't called old age...that was the duffer of an artist!...me!....smile, but I am still painting, of sorts, but mainly sketches, which can then be thrown away! But the site itself was taken off the ips as they shut their webspace down, so after much searching, the site has now risen again, more like a mottled goose than a spangled phoenix and mainly thanks to an ABer, one we all know for his technical abilities and blimey, he didn't half need those to complete the task, let alone having to put up with me in the background, but if you want to see the site, on which nothing much has changed, (apart from two pics you wouldn't have seen before),except its structure, here's the link.erm daren't risk hitting return so I'll write it out: http://theartsight.000webhostapp.com I hope you find it okay. Lots of Love and Kisses Lottie!
Woodelf, ha ha , 'old age' was just a reference to why I can't remember your old web site name. The link to your new site doesn't work for me unfortunately. Sad face. Nice to see really good old friends again. It was such fun back then. Hugs. See you again soon. Big hug.
Hey, the link has worked woodelf. big smile. Going to have a good look through. A wonderful picture of you. Very handsome. Bye for now.
Gness, I will try. ;o) x

Woodelf. I will soon be in touch via email. A very happy day for me - Linking up again. Thank you my friend.
