my bottom line is that putting it on is more important than smell.
i have a hand disability so ideally need a spray that is easy to press (or trigger) plus ideally not needing to be rubbed in

E45 comes in a spray. If you google body moisturiser in a spray there is quite a wide selection
Would this suit you? You use it in the shower after you've washed yourself, then rinse off. You would be able to apply it with a sponge or plastic puff thingwee

have you used it barry? does it make the shower slippy?
There's this one but have no idea how easy the spray action is of course.

Also it does have a warning for making the floor slippy, which may go for a lot of similar products.

I've tried an in shower one before and it made the bath extremely slippy to to point I had to stop using it as I'm not exactly the steadiest person at the best of times and was an accident waiting to happen. That was years ago, and maybe they've improved, or I tried a particularly slippy one (Nivea one I think it was) but I'm not risking it.

I've got a Vaseline spray moisturiser, bit like a deodorant can spray wise) but it goes on quite watery so ideally needs rubbing it in. I got it more for my legs after shaving them, and tried spraying it while sat on my bath board so it only drips in the bath (again potentially slippy, but easier to wash out if you swing your legs out after, rather than standing in the bath ) but I wasn't very impressed. Needed a lot of spray though for not a very big area, and it didn't seem like the tin would last very long.

Is there a particular area you're focussing on? Do you have a bath you can get it? There are things that could be put in the bath water to help moisturise the skin over a larger area, if that's a possibility.

nah, cant get in the bath unfortuneately but could sit on the bed to apply (legs)
Because I get wrist pain in my right hand I find sprays hard to use, I know that's what you want but do have to say if anyone was interested that I've recently bought a tub of Sanctuary Spa body butter and it's amazing. It's really easy to scoop out a dollop as it's a very soft consistency not unlike thick double cream so is very easy to spread about with little effort, apart from that it really moisturises very well

I have RA. I use this product, it says you need to rub it in but actually you dont it dries in seconds.

whats the smell on that one apg?
Question Author
and thanks prudie but i cant flatten out my hand to spread it in
Well I would say a bit like white chocolate slightly coconut but not as sweet. Little bit of spice in there too. Not unpleasant and the smell does not linger.
another vote for e45 spray but the press down top might be a bit stiff. Upside is that its a big top and you can press all of it rather than needing to press on a small button. but yes, use on carpet or a towel, it will make any hard floor slippery.
I get E45 cream on prescription, but it smells vile -funny though my OH likes the smell of it lol!

i tried the spray one you recommended APG and so far it's ok, but it even makes my carpet slippy! i think i'll need to put a towel down prhaps before i spray

I have one of these- it's pretty good for reaching areas you can't usually get to! And I use Dove moisturiser, the one for extremely dry skin cos it's ace!
I find the E45 top very stiff, though I don't know if they're all like that. As a result it tends to deliver a lot more than I want; but that probably won't matter if you're doing all of you.
