After the first dose of vaccine I was given a card, about the size of a business card, with the date I received the jab. There's space for details of the second jab when I get it.
Would this card be accepted as proof that I had been vaccinated?

Oh dear. :-(
Why oh dear? Did you want a pass before you've had your second jab?
Husb recently had 2nd and was told he cld download a pass. Seems (?) to be something which gives a “code” so a 3rd part can log onto a site and access it?

He hasn’t needed to do it yet

No. I'm happy to wait. It's just more complications but I suppose it will be easy enough to get when the time comes.
In Northern Ireland, work has now started on a certificate production system, which will give you internationally accepted proof that you have had both vaccine doses.

This will initially be a paper-based format and will be available here by early to mid-July.

A digital certification process will be in place later in the summer, which will also include evidence of negative PCR COVID tests, as an alternative to vaccination.
