No regrets.
Borrowed more and bought a bigger place in the 80's.
My grandmother died when I was about 8, leaving my parents to dispose of the piano in her house. My parents offered to pay for me to have piano lessons but I was terrified at the thought of going into the piano teacher's house just up the road from where I lived, so I told them I didn't want to learn.

A few years later, when I was more self-confident, I asked if I could have piano lessons but, by then, there was no piano available for me to practice on (as my parents had sold my grandmother's one and couldn't afford to buy another), so I couldn't have the tuition.

I've regretted not accepting the offer to learn to play the piano for the past sixty years :(

With hindsight, which is a wonderful thing - I would have left home at seventeen.

But I don't regret it, because staying there, with the attendent life I have led, has made me the person I am, and I am quite happy with that.
go to see the Beatles when they were in town. They were never there again.
Stayed at my old school where I achieved top marks.

Unlike you Chris - was never given the opportunity to learn anything but my heart was in everything musical - but there was no money =- after I was beginning to earn money - paid for many piano lessons and was going well - then my nephew died and my tutor' s father died on her wedding giving his wedding speech

That was my dream in spite of being deaf I had great interest in learning to play an in instrument and I will take it with me until my death. Because I know that the extreme interest in instruments I know I would have been successfull.
Musical and deaf, Jennyjoan?

100s of things - but then I wouldn't have had the time to do the things I DID do.
I always think that life is too short and far too precious to have regrets either over missed opportunities or things we have done. My funeral music - not for quite a while yet - will be Edith Piaf's 'Je ne regrette rien'.
