I've had a plate removed from my leg (ankle) in June after a fall. Inhad the stitches out last
wednesday. I have been lying on my back at night since. Yesterday I was walkling well during the day and thoughtb I was moreor less cured. In bed I woke up
about 0400 and decided to lie in my side as it would be morecomfortable. I
dropped to sleep and suddenly had an intense pain in my ankle. I managed to walk it off. Am I wrong axpecting it to be cured by now? Can I remove the dressing from where the stitches were removed yet?

Maybe you overdid it during the day time? Gotta listen to your body.
It's very soon.

Yes to both queries.
As you get more mobile you will experience pains and discomforts of varying degrees of severity for maybe years to come.
Simple analgesics such as Ibuprofen will suffice.

Many thanks for such prompt replies. It looks as though
I'm expecting too much, too soon. I really don't want to sleep on my back longer than necessary!
Have you tried the pillows you put between your knees?
