Mum is still holding on in hospital. Her kidneys are packing up and they keep telling us she has 'hours' to live.

Well they have been saying that for 4 days now but she's still clinging on.

I wish she would just give in, i hate seeing her in this state, it's just cruel.

They are talking now of transferring her to a hospice.

She's not quite ready, one plucky Lady you have there Darcey - hard for you, the waiting and watching. x

She is indeed Mamy, its just heartbreaking seeing her like that.
I know love, just keep whispering your love and permission to go when ready.
Darcey, when I say I know how you're feeling I really mean it.
Last year I was told my mum had hours or at most just days to live. She held on for weeks and I hated every hour of those weeks.
I wasn't allowed to leave Ireland to see her...I'd not have been allowed even if I had made the journey. I dreaded each phone call I had to answer.
It's such mixed feelings, isn't it. Wishing her to pass away quickly seems awful but the living on is, as you say, cruel.
I can't say anything to make you feel better or bear it more easily but know that others have gone through the same and feel for you... Gx
Darcey. You must be asking yourself why this is happening to your mum. All I wish for her is she be pain free and settled. This is a dreadful time for you . I’m sorry .
Have you told her that it's safe to let go, that those she leaves behind will take care of one another. I hope I am too late and she left you last night, but either way I wish you all the peace and strength you need.

Sorry to hear your news. I feel for you. I’m 60 and my mum is 90 and I know it will be the saddest day when it is her turn.

Sincerest condolences to you Darcey and you will probably be in pain for a while but the best thing is that your mother is no longer in any pain or discomfort.
I am sorry to read that your mum has died. For her there is no more suffering.
