Anybody here think that it might be better for your body and soul to engage in conversation relating to love and pleasure rather than indignation, outrage, condemnation, hatred and spiritual and religious issues without any possibility of agreement?

Perhaps I've been looking at the wrong categories.
Try Chatterbank, Atheist. I can be quite pleasant at times.
Yes but if you want to do that, don't look at the internet.

Thanks for the tip, Tilly. I do look into CB; maybe love, but not much pleasure there. I'm being a bit saucy here. Sorry. :-)
YES !!
I think most of us do that anyway, don't we?
If I vent my spleen here, it leaves all of my nicer side (or what there is of it anyway) for the people I actually meet in person ;-)
Yes!!
many posts lately seem to be created with the intention to create animosity.

getting quite repetitive *yawn*

AB is very depressing these days. It just seems to be the same few posters ranting about the Government etc. There always seems to be an obsessional theme - Muslims, Covid, Boris, people who can't wait to impart the latest bad news about some God awful disaster that has happened in the world. There is no humour - if you dare to try to find humour in life, someone will slap you down. It's a shame really.
We do seem to have more than a fair share of slappers to be sure.
Rondy does his best, he is always posting jokes, some good, some not so good. I've laughed out loud to several though !
And of course douglas's wit is second to none.
Love and pleasure on AB? You’re on the wrong site.
There’s other places for both of those I’m assured ;)
Oh I don't know, Vagus....a couple of us here found love and pleasure on AB.... ;-)

Having said that, 237 is right. Many of us who mostly want a little bit of banter as in the old days have given up on the humour because being followed and slapped down at every opportunity is wearing.
I do agree about Douglas's wit. Clever and dry, makes me smile and I don't think he's ever offended.
I don’t think we have any characters on AB now. Anyone with a bit of fun is slapped ( that word again) down very quickly and they just leave . New blood required .
"indignation, outrage, condemnation, hatred and spiritual and religious issues without any possibility of agreement?""

Isn't that what the internet has come to be for?
Love, pleasure, slapping and new blood - ooooh sounds more like an S&M site ;-)
I do that with my family, I don't fall out with them.
