I’ve just noticed that I have a few black dots on my tongue – they look like blackheads, but clearly aren’t. Has anybody else had these, and any idea of the cause? I think I might be anaemic, and have just started to take Floradix.
Blood test next week.

No big deal.
It is your iron medicine.

Thanks Buen I’ll check it out. Sqad- that’s very interesting! Any idea why Floradix does this?
It is caused by buds { papillae) on the tongue being stained by the iron in the medicine. Some buds are more prominent than others and take up the stain as they in contact with it for a longer period of time.
