For a while now when urinating, towards the end. I have no sensation of finishing passing water. Twice now it has caused very embarrassing leaks to occur, obviously the bladder is not completely empty, though it feels so to me. Maybe prostate related, I don’t know. I would appreciate opinions.

Had this problem too (and I'm a bit younger than you!). Almost certainly enlarged prostate...it just happens! Go to doctor asap and they will check by sticking a finger up your bum. Bit embarrassing, but it only takes 10 seconds. Almost certainly not cancer related, but make sure they do a PSA blood test to check (I have one done every year). Good luck and don't...

You need to see a Uroligist, promptly.
A simple prostate check would seem logical David.
Spot on, almost certainly prostate related in the absence of further medical details.
See your GP.
Try sitting down on the w.c. By the way, has age anything to do with it?

Thanks all. I’m very nearly seventy and bits here and there are failing.
While waiting to see urologist get Tena for men

What good advice, i bet the doctor wouldn't have thought of that.
No harm in having some checks but most of us as we age will have reduced flow & incomplete emptying of the bladder. If there's nothing treatable amiss just stay longer at the toilet.

Thank you all for your input. Much appreciated.
Sqad...you wouldn't believe how many times it has been missed off my annual blood tests, 'cos everything goes on the computer system which is not infallible (ask the postmasters/mistresses!). Thats why I check!
