Disappointing in the end. The postcards? The changed necklace? The motivation of gangster to kill priest's daughter?

It was disappointing and felt very rushed.
The gangster killed the priest’s daughter because she kidnapped him.
Very disappointing indeed.
I was totally confused. Was Brannick, Goliath? Enjoyed it, but why did Brannick shoot that guy on the island? Where was his body found and, how did Brannick get the body off the island?
Chrissa, he didn't remove the body. He fell into the grave of the previous 3 victims.
I’m confused .
So how was it found, Sharon?
Where did the snow go ?
Brannick shot the man on the island because he had realised that B killed his brother. B dumped his body in the loch and weighted it down but the weights came off and he floated to the surface. I suspect that he killed his wife too, but who knows.
It was very disappointing, I agree.
Yes ^^^ that's right.
And Weecalf wondered about the snow too.
Oh come on, guys. It was filmed during the autumn/winter. It must have been difficult to film during the pandemic, without sorting snow from no snow
I've lost count of the number of these sort of programmes where I've invested hours watching then been let down by a totally unconvincing denouement. Most of the tension had been punctured anyway at the end of episode two, when Brannick shot the man on the island.

And then the inevitable: 'Bloodlands will return for a second series'. Aaaaargh, they always ruddy do that!
I thought it was brilliant, not a show to watch while chatting to someone or making a cuppa, as for the snow, I live in RoI and I can tell you, this morning my friend 7 miles outside of my town had snow, heavy snow, while we had just cold and a bit of rain so the weather here (even if filmed over a few days ) is not the same from one spot to another
The house is 2 miles from the silent valley ,more like 2 miles from Santa’s house .
I need to watch it again! It seemed too complex for 4 episodes, could have been 6 and usually I'm the one saying some stories are dragged out!

The priest's daughter kidnapped the gangster??
Yes, think Nesbit was Goliath, but not sure.
Why did the necklace first have E engraved and then I?
What was the meaning of the postcards?
Two necklaces: one with 'T' for Tom (Nesbitt), and one with 'E' for Emma his wife, who was having the affair with the priest (father of the blonde)
Question Author
But Brianiac, didn't the daughter have 'I' engraved?
No, Tom gave his daughter the necklace his wife gave to him. As Brainiac says, the initials were 'E' and 'T'.
According to Tom's confession, he killed his wife's lover but not her. She is still alive.
Brannick is indeed Goliath, switching Keenan's gun just before the police arrived to make it appear that Keenan was Goliath.
Thought I had the answer and waited in anticipation for the final episode .. then fell asleep and missed it !
We enjoyed it. Very clever how he set the Doctor and gangster up. Did seem a bit rushed at the end though.
