Have recently started to watch Breaking Bad to see what the fuss was all about and we were both hooked after the first couple of episodes, some extremely funny scenes however after now done the first six I wanted to ask - I don't want any endings particularly spoiled but if I'm honest watching his graphic side effects from cancer treatment, the vomiting, hair loss, coughing and devastation for him and his family are not my idea of entertainment even though it's interspersed with the very watchable meth/drug bit. I know there are several more series, does it carry on like this?

No
No, I don't remember that it does. It held my interest for the whole series, and there are a couple of 'follow ons' afterwards. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
No, stick with it Prudie, you won’t be disappointed.
No, it's a brilliant series. Binge watched the whole 6 seasons so far, and avidly waiting the next offering which is due out this year.A
Along with this series, watch Better Call Saul, another gripping series.
Absolutely brilliant and very worthy of the fuss made about it! Superbly clever writers. Keep watching. A really excellent series. I almost wish I hadn't seen it so I could watch it again and enjoy it as much as I did the first time. I'm not sure that will made sense to anyone else - but I know what I mean. Lucky you, Prudie, watching it for the first time.
Ferlew, as I understand it there are no more series of Breaking Bad - but there is another series of Better Call Saul being made. Am I mistaken?

That's the next for your list, Prudie - Better Call Saul. Another excellent offering - a prequel to Breaking Bad.
Never a dull moment! Keep watching, Prudie.
Definitely stick with it. It's brilliant.

I've never seen BCS though.
Keep watching Prudie you won't regret it.
I must get back to watching, Better Call Saul.
Watched a few episodes at my daughter's house, a few years ago now. Loved it.
And if you like that I really recommend Banshee, even blacker humour at times. the Blacklist isn't bad either, neither is Justified, or Rectify. (You won't be able to drink coffee for at least a week after one episode)
no, it gets better and better.
Give up on it.
I found it too dull for words after series 1. Particularly because the kid support actor had 2 styles
1 standing and shouting and
2 sitting and shouting.
And the wife ditto
1 standing and sulking and
2 cooing and standing.
Total bore it went on and on for no reason or purpose other than to sell NetFlix to newbies.
But if you like it you like it.
PS Did not like the Queens Gambit either.
I thought the Queen’s Gambit superb too. Like Breaking Bad it was very different.
Queen's Gambit was brilliant.
What floats your boat then d2t?
Rowan, Ive just looked up those you mention and added them to my list, they all look interesting, thanks :)
Oh yes, Queens Gambit was original and great, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
What makes a good man turn bad. no it doesn't Prudie one of the best series I've seen, all five. as above you must stay with it.

Tigger during lockdown I finally watched all better call saul. also brilliant.
I so wanted to like Better Call Saul..but didn’t :(
Might give it a go, Kidd :o)
