I’m interested to know how you got on if you had the Oxford vaccine. I went for mine last week and was turned away as my temperature was 37.7/37.5. I’m concerned that my high levels of inflammation may stop the vaccine working properly as I seem to be constantly fighting infection (high white blood cell count). I’ll go back again on Tuesday but I do wonder if they’ve done any testing on people with high inflammatory markers.

Sorry, forgot to add; Just because someone on AB may or may not have had any side effects from that particular vaccine doesn't mean that you will/won't either.
i suffered after effects later in the day. shaking mostly, very unpleasant. I don't know the answer to your question... sorry
I Didn't think your temp is taken prior to jab ?
i was only asked if i had any allergies..
Hi emmie, me too.
There was a lady at the entrance checking temps with an infra-red device pointed at your forehead when I went.
i have, but nothing about temperature..
nope not in our surgery... ^^
sorry that was for dave...
I have not seen or discussed any studies that has shown the post vaccine immune response in compromised subjects.
I would suggest that is far too early in the programme to come to any meaningful conclusion.
I would advice you to represent yourself for the Covid vaccine.
I had my temperature taken as did most people I know who have had the jab.
My temperature is always on the low side.
Nobody I know has had their temp taken at the vaccine hub.
nor at our surgery..
Like others, I was just asked if I had any allergies.
Or pregnant.
I had the Oxford jab at my surgery. Temperature not taken, but asked if I felt OK. No after effects.
seems those who did suffer some after effects were later in the day...
It's all been such a hash of a job, you are right to wonder, and the answer is probably a big fat "No". Good luck on Tuesday!
// that has shown the post vaccine immune response in compromised subjects.//

I dont think there are any yet - ethical concerns on safety

I wasnt asked - and my temp wasnt measured either -
and I er kept my immune status v quiet - (none of this - I had blood cancer and PCP and nearly died crap) they asked if I was ON chemo and I said no
( none of this "you shoulda seen my guts hang out of my bottom when I had norovirus " stories) - being too ill to be vaccinated is a very new concept you know.....

but I DID say - I know how important this is - I worked at Porton Down

Christie - We are advising that all our patients receive a COVID 19 vaccine when this is offered.
