Do you not just hand in your readings and they work out the average?
Iwould just hand in the readings. That is what I do.
^ That's what I did
Yes, I can't see that they would expect you to work it out
Patsy,
your average readings (to the nearest integer) are:
morning - 102/63
night - 109/64
but, as others have suggested, just give them all the readings
Question Author
Didn't say on sheet of paper. Just said to work out average.
I'll just hand it in as it is then. Thank you.
My sister had to do her own. Maybe just work out the morning average and night average? Yours look mildly low/average.
Question Author
Thank you nescio. Very helpful.

I more or less know how to do.it but have a dizzy head. :-)
Using normal averaging technique (i.e. total divided by number of occurrences), I make it (to nearest whole number). . . . .

Morning 102/63
Night 109/55
Overall 105/59

. . . . but I have no knowledge as to whether this is the way it is done
Ooops - correction

Morning 102/63
Night 109/64
Overall 105/63
No I am not going to add up the morning and night readings as I am going to guess, as it will not be checked:
Average morning. 100 / 64
Average evening 107/ 64.

All perfectly normal but on occasions inthe morning a little low .

I am going to make a couple of guesses:
1) you are taking BP tablets.
2) you occasionally inthe morning go "light headed" when you bend down.
Question Author
Thank you Canary.
If they want just one value for morning and one for night its easyer just to take the middle value
so morning 104/64 and night 109/65
Really they should see them all in case theres big variation's??
But yours seem fairly consistent altho a bit low so a doubt they care whether you say 104/64 or just take a stab at something like 106/60

Am not convinced the home ones are that reliable anyway. We can take 2 readings over 2 minutes and get quite a spread say 130/85 then 155/90

Sqad, I've been taking low dose bisoporal for fast heart beat & anxiety for some years now. It's only a concern now, as I've been feeling breathless at times and light headed & dizzy. It does seem to be worse first half the day.
Can't imagine what you were up to on day2 in the morning, and day7 at night. :))
O k....what dose Bisoprolol?
That could be the problem with your morning symptoms.
Your GP mayvsuggest lowering the dose or if you are already on the lowest dose 2.5mgms ,then taking you off the beta blocker all together.
Question Author
I take 2 doses of Bisoprolol 2 1/2mg in am & same in evening, 5 mg altogether. Can't come off them sqad. Nearly killed me last time.
Question Author
Togo. Wouldn't you like to know! :-))
Patsy, maybe a slightly lower dose in the morning. I would give the GP all the readings, and see what they say.
