Felt nauseous last night but managed to get some sleep. Since I've been up I've thrown up a few times. I've tried fresh ginger in boiled water which hasn't worked. My mum also insisted on diluted fresh lemon which again hasn't worked. Every time i move my head spins and I feel dizzy.

Have I got food poisoning? What else can cause this? I can just about look at my tablet screen.

what about vertigo?
Could be an inner ear disturbance, try to rest.
////Have I got food poisoning?////.

I doubt it. On the scraps of information given, my best guess is that it is a viral infection of the inner ear (vestibular neuronitis).
Nobig deal, no antibiotics needed, just rest and perhaps Ibuprofen if you develop a temperature.
It should only last about 4-5 days.

Been drifting in and out of sleep since vomiting this morning. Retched a couple of times too.

Many years ago, I started having these symptoms - diagnosed as labyrinthitis. It continued sporadically and further investigation changed the diagnosis to Meniere's Syndrome.
