Is it time to turn off the ventilator?
Had he not been the husband of a TV presenter would life support have been terminated?

not sure you can see the link but it gives a bit of an update on Kate's husband
I doubt thats why he's still been kept alive. I think there are probably other patients in exactly the same predicament as Derick draper ...they just aren't in the news.

Medical staff in NHS (in our experience) will try everything they can to save someone until it is no longer in the patients best interest.

There may indeed come a time (soon) that they have a chat with his family but I guess they are not at that stage yet.

Thanks emmie..........Will try and do better in future.
sqad, so can we all...
// but it's apparent that I am not the only one who wonders why Mr Draper's future should be governed by his wife's profession.//

it isnt andie - its a question hem hem and I am sure you know what that is

decisions on ITU are taken in the patients own best interests
Sqad has clearly NOT been near an ITU for a Very Long Time

("Lets keep ventilating him for another 24 h because he has a cat called "miw" who is really kinda cuddly, from the photos that is!" - Jesus this has to be AB)
