A few weeks ago my little finger just clicked, and it’s hurt ever since. This is quite common for me as all my joints tend to go out of joint very easily. My physio suggested I strap it to the finger next to it, which I have done. But the main middle joint still really hurts when I bend my finger. It worries me that it went out of Joints, and all I’ve done is type it. Obviously, I can’t just go to the doctors and get them to look at it at the moment. I can move it without pain, I just can’t bend it. Any advice?

I would make an appointment with the GP regardless. It will be telephone consultation and they will advise you.
If i remember correctly, you have or aversion of EDS?
I maybe wrong.
It is highly unlikely that it would still be dislocated after several weeks, it could be, but you would have been able to have "manoeuvred " it back yourself. living with EDS.
I would suggest that you take anti inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen 400mgms as and when necessary or Paracetamol 1,000mgms again,as and when necessary.
It does sound as though you are developing an arthritis in that joint.
Reassess the situation in about 6 weeks time.

Thanks Maydup and Sqad. Yes, I have EDS and not a day goes past without something clicking and not being able to straighten it/walk on it without pain. I'm taking 500mg Naproxen for my back, so hope that will help? Really hope it's not arthritis as it's stopping me from playing the piano..
It's known as 'Trigger finger' look it up on Google. You can have an injection which can help, even surgery if it remains over a long period or it can go by itself.
Khandrohas offered an alternative diagnosis, the possibility of which deserves consideration.
My advice however remains the same.

Thanks Khandro, will look into it.
