GP rang me. Asked loads of questions.
I was honest with him.
He prescribed Mirtazipan.
So far they seem to help.
Make me a bit foggy.
Went to bed yesterday afternoon I think.
Just got up half an hour ago.
I hope this drug is the answer and I get back to normal soon.
Thank you everybody for your messages of support.
I really appreciate them. X

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Theland.
So pleased that you got some help Theland. Lots and lots of good wishes for your recovery x
One of the most helpful things on this site is posts from people prescribed the same drugs as you and their comments so, hopefully, this will work for you too.
Sending you hugs TL and hope for a brighter future for you xx

I had a great nights sleep. Twelve plus hours :-)
Great to see you back, theland. Glad you have got some help. Take care xx
Glad youre getting some sleep now Theland.
These AD, do help, especially with sleeping! I can vouch for that.
Hope you can feel a little better soon.
Glad you got some help Theland, hope you can now get on an even keel.
Great to see you getting back to your old self again Theland.
Mirtaz's helped me a few years ago when I was in the pits of despair and suicidal depression. One of the plus sides was been able to get a decent nights sleep (and not wanting to throw myself under a train anymore...) One of the down sides was weight gain due to them giving me carb cravings....sugar and bread in particular.
A couple of family sized bars of choclate and half a loaf of bread everyday became the norm. I read somewhere that its to do with them depleting your cells of sugar or something along them lines.

Anyway, wishing you all the best Theland,
Take care.
P.S, The foggyness will pass in a few days ;-)

Thank you. Yes, I'll have to be careful as I have a sweet tooth.
Cheers Nailit.
Theland It is great to read that you had a good nights' sleep. I have also been in a dark place over the past four years (but shrank from sharing with the community here). I believe it was my brother's intercession with God that lifted me out of the slough of despond.
you get better sooon Theland xx
stagazer
you are preaching to the already converted
Good to see you're on the up TL. Don't rush. Take it steady and you'll be back with us when the time is right.
If it's any help I was switched to mirtazipine a couple of months ago, the brain fog is far less than my old meds, I don't have a dry mouth all the time and it is just a matter of getting the timing right. for me taking them early evening seems to work best because I go to bed fair!y early.
Oh yes, nailit 's post reminds me, it it's not nailed down you will eat it, the carb cravings need a bit of effort, but they are manageable if you keep busy.

Just had a bad 24 hours.
Breathing so bad I was going to ring 111 or 999.
I was scared to go to bed because I was gasping like a fish out of water.
At one point my SATS dropped to 81 but then slowly steadied around 87, but dropped if I moved.
Used about 4 nebulisers and Lorazepam.
That steadied me and was able to take Mirazipam and sleep.
Sorry to read that. Did your COVID test come back? If the breathing is bad again should you consider 999. Sometimes just having someone with you for reassurance and maybe some extra oxygen might help. Let the ambulance crew help you through the worst and assess if you need further treatment. Keep on with the medication
Look after your self Theland.
My mums got breathing difficulties at the moment so I totally get where your coming from.
Dont ***about mate,
Ring an ambulance if needs be.
Take care.
