OK, I'm not a medical professional but the absence of a new AND persistent cough would indicate that you almost certainly DON'T have COVID...

1 hour kip, this isn't right, am now in the throes of wanting to drown my sorrows.
Well one "for medical reasons" won't hurt.
Try an afternoon nap. May even miss the rain too.
When I had covid I thought it was like having hayfever, I had a runny, tickly nose and I felt really drained of energy. that being said I also developed a cough and had muscle pains (like the feeling you have when you have been working out the day before and you feel battered and bruised the next day) I also woke up n the night feeling really really hot, then I would have shivers.

There are a lot of bugs going around that are similar to this at the moment, I had something similar only a few weeks ago, I thought it was covid again but it went away after about a week.

thanks all, looks like i have the flu, crashed out so early tonight, it's why i am awake now i guess. still feel lousy.
If it's flu then as much rest as possible and plenty fluids, you won't have the strength to do much else but rest even if you don't sleep.

Feel better soon.

I don't think you have flu. You would ache all over if you had flu. Do you think your symptoms could be psychosomatic?
Question Author
i ache all over, have constant headache, running nose, sore throat and feel like awful.
Hi emmie! How are you feeling now? Hope you are better than before. But in case you are not, i thought I will share what I know about the matter with you. I think the first question that doctors will ask for Covid is whether you are having persistent cough. Also did you consider checking the AQI of where you stay? You can do that on apps like IQair or Climacell. Also check if you have developed any allergies lately, since this is the time for ragweed allergies (I had that October 2018). Take care and hope I this helps.
