yes you can.
yes you can use both What is usually done is to take them alternately so if the dose of paracetamol is taken every 4 to 6 hours, then at two or three hours after the paracetamol, you take ibuprofen. don't exceed the 24 hour total dose of either and make sure you don't take ibuprofen on an empty stomach.

Ok thanks

What about the use of ibuprofen gel and ibuprofen tablets ?
the same.
Question Author
I assume voltarol emulgel is the same .
i.e can be used with .either tablets or the ibuprofen gel ?
When my arm seized up earlier this year and I was in agony I was prescribed co codomol and also used voltarol emulgel and deep heat patches. The problem I had afterwards was that the gel and patches triggered off my stomach pain. I can only take paracetamol based pain relief.
I took the co codamol and used the gel at the same time. Neither of which took the edge off the pain buts that's a different story.......
Bazille...your assumption is correct.

What a daft thing to say, Clarion. There are many people who couldn't function without pain relief.
