Friends after break-up?

My ex-partner and I broke up about 7 weeks ago. Friendship was going OK, then we had a nasty argument last week. Now they don't want to know me at all, but I want to make amends and still be friends. How can I make it up to them?

LouBoo, Not sure what you mean. Did you mean you were still friends with your ex, or friends of you and your ex?

I meant that I was still friends with my ex. I think we had the argument because I'd always hoped we'd get back together. Now I know thats not going to happen, but I just want to focus on being friends. As I don't want to lose this person from my life.
