Thank you. I know I read somewhere that someone had been selected but thought I might have seen it on FB. I hope they pick me (it's not guaranteed)

I didn't word that very well. I have had a letter from the powers that be as I have been selected and have registered but it is not guaranteed that I will be chosen for a test. I hope I will be though as I would love to know if I have antibodies.
I had covid (positive test) in April. I took an anti-body test in August which came back negative. It said there was evidence of 'exposure' to the covid 19 virus but no active anti-bodies.
I've read that in some cases where someone tests positive for covid they don't necessarily produce antibodies. I think it was mainly for those who were asymptomatic.
My wife was selected and did the test a few weeks ago. They provide a finger-pricker and you squeeze a drop of blood into a window and then wait for a specified time. Some lines should appear, one which says the test worked and 2 others if it was positive; my wife's was negative. You photograph the result and email it to them.

Yes, results in 10 - 15 mins. I would love to know if the weird bug I had back in February was Covid. I doubt it was and anyway, nobody really knows how long the antibodies last. Still, I`m more than happy to help regarding research.
Tigger I was not asymptomatic -I had it for nearly a month and nearly died. I am taking immune suppressants, and ironically it was the T-Cell blocker I take that saved me from going onto a ventilator and saved my life ( in my opinion, long story).
i had a private one - positive. my husband's was neg. just goes to show we dont get near each other enough!
Yes, the T-cell testing would be good as well but I don't think it there is one.

But also, I've heard that antibodies don't last long and some people have had covid a second time.
