I'd appreciate a recommendation for the above please.

I bought one in Lidl as an experiment. I love the way it styles my hair. So much better than a dryer and brush. I also like that it has two different brush heads to choose from. I like the effect the round brush gives.
However there are two things I dislike enough to be returning it. One is that the handle is very big and with small hands I have trouble holding and turning it. It has two heat and speed settings. Both are very hot. I am unable to use my preferred fast speed. The smell of burning hair is worrying and if it touches the skin it's nasty. I think from researching that this is a problem with many and some come with a glove to protect the hand. This still leaves the ears and back of the neck vulnerable.
If you have one you'd recommend I'd appreciate the details. G.

its still quite big in the handle, but it looks similar to the hairdryer (which i have) and is managble even with my hand disabilities
My wife has the following:
TRESemmé Full Finish Air Styler. Model 5265TU. From: The Conair Group Ltd., Fleet, Hampshire.
She recommends it wholeheartedly.

Thanks, Bednobs. That looks interesting but I perhaps should have said up to £100....not too sure about paying £400... :-)

Thanks, BB....I'll have a look at that one..x
12.99 does sound more managable than 400

Yes, if I bought the Dyson and popped my clogs the kids would be fighting over it....well not including the bald son....... ;-)
gness, do you have the rotating hair brush? My wife has one from Lidl and gets on with it very well.
The Tresemmé linked to does not rotate

Hi, Barry. The Lidl one I have is the Silver Crest Ionic hot air brush. The whole thing swivels on the cord. If it didn't get so hot and I didn't need two hands to hold it I'd absolutely love it.
Does the brush itself rotate?
No. it doesn't
Question Author
As you say it doesn't but that itself isn't a problem.
The Tresemmé should suit you nicely.
no need for a rotating brush, just get a regular one and run around it.
Mine says Aokebeey... the handle is quite big, but freely rotates. It has high, low and cool settings and is really quick and easy, even with long hair. I got it from Amazon, and looked through the reviews of different ones.
About £25.
I have the Babyliss Big Hair styler, the brush rotates, but the handle doesn't. It has two speed settings, I just lift a section of hair with the brush rotating, and move it from the roots to the tip. It can get hot close to your ears, but you soon get the hang of using it. I rough dry my hair with a normal hairdryer, first, put a touch of mousse though your hair before using the brush, to give a bit more body.
Just to be devil's advocate I used a heated brush daily on my long hair for years & yes did wonder a bit about the steam/smoke and hint of burning hair coming off my head (and have a permanent scar on my shin when I knelt on it once and it burned me) but it was so quick and convenient in the morning. Then one day I suddenly realised my hair was in awful condition, thinning and breaking off so I stopped using it and haven't since. My hair is in so much better condition - only downside is I now use large sponge rollers to get body and that is a sight to behold.
I think that's he same for any heat product though, it depends how often you use it. I usually let mine dry naturally, unless I'm going out out (in those days...)
not just heat products - i backcombed my hair to *** in the 80s and used so much spray it was crunchy. Then i came to my senses and realised my hair was in awful condidtion and stopped using (post-washing/conditioning) products and haven't done since
