Can anyone recommend foods high in iron. My husband been told by doctor blood test low in iron.

Liver/pate are high in iron.
liver
red meat
beans, such as red kidney beans, edamame beans and chickpeas
nuts
dried fruit – such as dried apricots
fortified breakfast cereals
soy bean flour

Could try biting your nails ;-)
Buy Gentle Iron tablets from a health food shop. They are easier on the tummy than the prescribed iron tablets and are absorbed swiftly.

Once the iron levels are restored, then include more of the items listed above into your diet to maintain the levels.
Vitamin C to help absorb iron.
Floridex liquid iron is also gentle on the stomach
