Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well, and staying safe in these troubling times. I’m writing here to get some advice about a social / interpersonal dilemma I’m having. There’s an actor I would like to reach out to, but the only realistic way of doing so is via his “fan mail” address.

I genuinely want to get to know him as a person, not as a celebrity, because we genuinely have a lot in common and would be good friends.

It’s disappointing how society creates interpersonal barriers in its structure, though I understand this is to protect celebrities from stalkers and the like.

Anywho, any suggestions would be most appreciated; I want to reach him without coming across as another “fan girl” seeking photographs or something or that ilk. Merely a person-to-person conversation, over a letter rather than in person or social media.

Thanks, and best wishes!

Perhaps think about how you would feel if you you were his position. ie would you want to be contacted by a random stranger off the internet because they thought they had a special connection with you? I probably wouldn't myself. I think I'd be a bit scared to be honest.
Reminds me of John Lennon when a deranged fan thought a song lyric was directed at him.

Not gonna happen, dove. Best wishes
Yeah. Seriously, GreyDove, don't be a dick like this dick:

Short answer? You don't.

Friendships don't happen because one person would like them to, they grow naturally.

That applies whether one half of the relationship is famous or not.
There must be hundreds of fans who feel like you do. You do not know this actor, he possibly is a completely different person in 'real life'. I suggest you carry on admiring him from afar and get yourself a life in your world. Sorry
Was going to say something, then saw others had covered it effectively above.

You may think you aren't just another "fan girl" but many groupies feel exactly the same way. A truth you didn't want to hear, I'm sure. It's doomed from the start. Don't go down the stalker route, save your interest for those you meet, rather than try to meet those celeb types you developed an interest in.
How do you know you have anything in common? Do you think you are the first person to have felt this way about a celeb? Honestly stop the dreaming and get on with your real life.
Its got troll written all over it.
