I usually have highlights, mousy brown hair going grey. Can anyone recommend a home hair bleach/dye instead which will not be a block colour but more like bleached highlights? Thanks all

I don't understand what you mean by bleached highlights (got a pic?) anyway, just don't apply all over if you don't want a block of clolour
Lots of info here smurfchops and plenty of kits out there. If you have someone who can help you, the cap method is better, you can just do a few highlights here and there or all over thin highlights. Another kit consists of a comb that you can put the product on just where you want it but I found this was a bit messy and tended to make 'clumpy' highlights.

Of course you could 'embrace' your grey hair. Use an anti yellowing shampoo /conditioner ( blue or violet) and your greys will sparkle and lift your colour just like highlights do.
