Just wondering if it’s something I should be doing. I don’t mean armpits. I mean your forearms. I’ve seen ads with women shaving them and wondered if I’m a bit of a freak because I don’t.

never shaved my arms ever but I am not a particularly hairy person anyway, not even my legs, I never shave them
No, never.
no never....and I have never seen an ad for it either. Are you sure you mean shaving and not epilating? If I was someone who had dark hair and was particularly hairy then I might consider it....epilating not shaving.
Same as Bobbi. No need to shave arms or legs. can't find a single hair on my arms. if you have fine dark hair on your arms could you not bleach them?
No, never, but I was blond and the hair on my arms is hardly visible
As a teenager in London in the 60's it became one of those 'fads'. Strangely enough I do not have any hairs on my arms now. Rarely have to do my legs or underarms either due to lack of hair.
I think a little downy hair is quite sexy.
i live a pretty sheltered life but i can't ever remember seeing a woman with hairy arms
I have done in the past, not shaved but used an epilator. Don't seem to get many these days and don't bother any more.
No, never.
Why is it that, when ladies age, body hair escapes and migrates to the face!
It would never have entered my head, in spite of having hairy-ish arms. It's still there, but very fine and light. I don't bother anymore with legs as it's all vanished.
Many women (and men) fail to understand that the scent of body hair (armpits, ‘private’ parts, etc.) contributes to the allure of mature women. Unlike the chemicals involved in perfumery and deodorants, which are a real turn off!

I think the trend towards smooth shaved skin is all part of the infantalising so prevalent in many aspects of modern life.

Let people look and smell like people!
I'm natural blond and when a teenager had very fine light blonde hair on my forearms -it was only evident when I had a suntan and yes I used to shave my forearms. No need now as it disappeared years ago.
Like Bobbi, I'm not hairy so don't shave arms or legs.

As for people smelling like people .... I'd rather they didn't.

Thanks for the answers. I’m dark-haired but have blonde fine hairs on my arms.
It’s true body hair disappears as you get older. I hardly need to shave my legs now. And other areas (blush).

Thanks for a male viewpoint too, Andy.
If I were a man I think I’d prefer women to have a bit of down rather than waxed and shaved.
I do. Not religiously though. I just think they look nicer. I'm not very hairy though.
No Clover. Absolutely allen. Is there anywhere now people havent wanted to mess about with?
Nothing wrong with people smelling like people. Just so long as they smell like people who are on top of their personal hygiene. Did some decorating at my brothers last week and he had a guy in sorting out a fault in his security cameras. This guy was one of those people who smelled like people and it almost made my eyes water! That wasn't just stale sweat emanating from him. It was multi-layered stale sweat. (Plus a few gallons of Vodka - brother told me the guy was a bit of a hisspead). Thankfully I was glossing at the time so I just moved the paint kettle a little closer to my nose :-)

Oh blimey,Ken. I don’t mind a bit of a whiff of fresh sweat on a man, but yuk, that sounds horrible.
