grrrrr - some words just set my teeth on edge - one is 'tech' for things like computers and phones. Another is 'product' for stuff you put on your hair or body. I've always also hated the word 'uni' for university - I'm sure it was never used in my day or maybe I just didn't mix with anyone who went!

I cringe at the word ‘product’ - and 'uni' too - and I dislike the manufactured ‘y’ words - hubby, lippy, leccy, biccy….anything like that grates. Oh, and 'hun' and 'babe'.
Fortunately I don't know 'Smarmy' people but a word I have a real distaste to.
Has instead of As is beginning to lose it's charm.
