If someone were to die today (not from coronavirus) would the funeral be affected by all the isolation rules?

Yes...looks like it.
We were due to go to a funeral this week but have been told that only the widow and her two daughters will be allowed in the chapel at the crematorium. What a sad time for them.
That would be so upsetting.
The silver lining is that people will save a fortune on 'extras' that society has previously seen as 'normal'.

yes, its not the reason for the death, its preventing gatherings. Very sad....sadder I think than the rules about weddings.
