Do you think living and having to listen, (where you are there) to a grumpy miserable person can have a negative effect on a persons wellbeing?

Depends on how he would react on being told to shut up.
Yes and being one also - there is no bigger waste of time and energy than arguing, usually over very pointless matters.
i would say could we talk about it, why he is so bad tempered, if no joy, leave...

That is very true CAC most of what is being moaned about is pointless and repeated over and over again.

Depends on the relationship to them. If it's a partner then, yes, anyone else wouldn't really bother me.

I lived with my very grumpy granddad and I found him quite amusing.

I am not sure of the reasoning behind it, old age I expect, like some sort of male menopause.

She only stays with me because she loves me.
I don't want to bear about it, tigger...

But yes, though it will depend how much time you spend with the person. If you're living in the same house, it might be worth talking to him about it. He may have no idea he's wearing you out.
sometimes its the little things that are the breaking point...
I was happy a few days ago until I got treated like dog do by someone I had been dating for a few weeks. And then things went wrong at work and I was undermined and belittled in front of other colleagues. And also had a row with my ex over Little Tiggs.

But hey ho..............

It could be he's moaning about someone in the family one of our sons for instance, and he's moan moan moan, to me about it and I will tell him to, say it to him not me! He just doesnt seem to get it, and it is beginning to wear me down.
