Is there a connection between High BP and thyroxine which is as a result of removal of Thyroid. Am on atenolol from before the removal but BP has increased recently.

Yes..........there is my love.

It would seem that they may well have taken a little too much thyroid tissue away and that you may well have insufficient thyroxine circulating.
I am sure that will have checked your thyroid output with blood tests, but if they haven't then I would suggest that you ask for one.

IF....your thyroid tests are NORMAL.....then my answer in your case is NO...there is no connection.

Does that make sense?
Sorry to jump in, in front of Daisymay. Your answer makes perfect sense to me, Sqad, and thank you for posting it. The same thing applies to me that Daisymay has described and I was wondering exactly the same thing as she. Thank you both for answering my unspoken question.
