Has Anyone Else Suffered From Itv Hub Speed?

Whilst watching I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! on the ITV Hub, I have found that especially between the hours of 9pm and 10pm that the speed of the ITV Hub is very slow, resulting with a loading screen in the middle of my program. Once it has loaded, it does not carry on playing from where it left off, but instead it skips me to the current 'live' viewing.

I can only assume this is because a lot of people watch I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! on the ITV Hub so it causes the website to become slow.

Is there anything ITV can do about this? It annoys me that I pay my TV licence to not only have to watch adverts on these programs but also to miss entire segments due to their inability to provide for a large audience.

No problems for me. What device are you watching on?
Unsure what ITV has to do with the licence fee. Accepting it's annoying, but you could watch live on terrestrial TV.

I am watching on an Acer laptop using Windows 10 and the browser Google Chrome.
OG, you need a tv licence to watch ITV programmes live.

Do I need a TV Licence if I don’t watch the BBC?
Yes – if you watch or record live TV on any channel, or through any provider

What is your internet speed?

I know that the problem is not at my end. When I try to access other websites and streaming services during the 9-10pm period, they work perfectly well as does my Wifi connection. The problem is with the ITV Hub.
You aren't the only one having trouble TD. Have a look here.

Thank you for that link Ladybirder.

It really is an irritating problem. As I said, I pay for this service and not only do they push adverts on me but they also leave me on an endless loading screen causing me to miss half the programme I desire to watch.

If they don't sort out the problem then I am going to cancel my TV licence until they do. I have one mainly for ITV as I don't watch any other channel.
That link is from March this year so it's taking them a flipping long time to get it sorted. That's just not good enough is it.

Certainly not. It seems that every year ITV gets record level viewing figures for shows such as Love Island and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! that they've never had in previous years, and every year their ITV Hub doesn't have the capacity for the audience.
As I don't watch either of those programmes I wasn't aware it happens every year. That really is taking the proverbial! Fight I say, fight;-)
going off topic, how are you Ladybirder?
No one doubts you need a licence to watch TV. Still nothing to do with ITV though.
Why is ITV apologising if it's nothing to do with them OG?
Em I'm cold, just can't keep warm despite heating set at 22, two sweaters and clutching a hot water bottle. How about you?
how did you get on at hospital? if you prefer not to say i won't press you.
Oh sorry Em, I thought you would have seen that on my original post.
They have recommended I have an operation to try to remove the tumour. Unless we get a cancellation it will be late December, early January. Thank you for asking. x
It is more likely that it is your internet speed which is the problem, not ITV. In the evening, more people are streaming so the speed drops for everyone.
The further you are from the exchange, the more your speed will be affected.
Possibly LB because it's something to do with their servers or hub, I doubt they're apologising for the licence fee.
