Hey one of my friends has recently been diagnosed with cancer of the breast. She will most likely get surgery but she will not get chemo as apparently not even doctors get it. So we are trying to get our hands on oil, colloidal silver and a huge list of things. What else is there?

I sympathise with your friends diagnosis but they shouldn’t put any faith (other than a placebo effect) in colloidal silver:

I’m not sure about your ‘even doctors’ comment. Are you suggesting doctors get better treatment than the general public?

No what I mean is doctors do not usually get chemotherapy as they know how damaging it is. Also it isnt just silver we have a list of 20 things we are giving her
If she's not getting chemo, I daresay it's because chemo isn't indicated.

It all depends what type of breast cancer she has. In the case of DCIS, chemo is rarely indicated.
Just do what the bloody Dr suggests.
I agree with Lady CG....it is probably an early cancer less than 1cm in diameter.
The Oncologist will have all the details and will be in a position to suggest the best method of treatment.

no sorry sir - I have had two courses of chemotherapy. DIdnt like it much but the alternative in my case was death

so that settles that one

the patient should and has discussed treatment options with her treating doctor. You are inviting us to second guess what was said on reported speech coloured by your own prejudices ( drs dont do CT)

look on internet
it will be a long look - there is a lot out there
including raw veg ( Bristol option )
yeah sqad has put the standard view well and succincvtly

this thread is on the lines - the drs arent treating her - they are trying to KILL her ! and can I stop this wiv colloidal silver and raw veg !

no and no
My aunt had breast cancer and she had chemo and radiotherapy.
I've had breast cancer and other cancers, as have friends of mine - I've never had anyone looking for other oils for me, she will be well once she does what the oncology team advise, they are not depriving her of treatment, if she needed chemo, she would get it, she must have an early stage, non invasive cancer. She will get the best treatment she can be offered.

They said surgery and 1 round of chemo just to be sure. B8t she is choosing not to do the chemo. My friend from school married a pharmacist and his mum got cancer. They didn't have chemo and then gave her a list of alternative medicine. Anyway she is now all in the clear.
You have no idea of the nature of the cancer other than it being in her breast.

'Alternative remedies' are not proven to aid *all* types of cancer.
It is not your breast and the best thing you can do for your friend is advise her to listen to the trained medics rather than sketchy anecdotal second/third-hand tales!
If you search long enough in the net you will find a website somewhere that will tell you that just about every substance in the known universe is a cure for cancer that big pharma doesn't want you to know about. I would like to take the people who make these claims which they know to be lies and put them on a huge bonfire for all the false hope and pain and guilt they inflict on people. If you want to help your freind then support her emotionally, if you want to research her illness then stick to sources that contain objective peer reviewed validated research.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and had removal of the lump by surgery, and then 3 weeks of radiotherapy. I now take Tamoxifen and have never had chemo (thank goodness)
Read Snake Oil by John Diamond.

Why take the chance? Follow the advice of the doctors who deal with it every day.
