I have had a cold and bad cough for 10 days been treating it with sugar free cough syrup and paracetamol, as of yesterday morning the cough was getting better and nasal discharge was green.
Then last night I started shivering uncontrollably and my face hurts on the left from above my eye down my nose and cheek. Went to bed and slept like the dead.
Woke up this morning still sore and shivering!
I have paracetamol, cold and flu and co-codamol 30/500mg.
Do I just spend the day in bed with fluids? What medication should I take?

Thanks all managed to get some more sleep nose is still blocked on one side and that’s the side that’s painful! Swelling gone down, I’m really restricted to paracetamol due to my stomach so am also trying to drink honey and lemon to keep fluids up! Haven’t eaten in 24 hours which is a concern too

My daughter had something similar last week, all her eye and cheek swelled up and she was feeling pretty awful, the swelling calmed down after 2 days and although a bit snotty she is up and active again. keep warm, see if you can get some soup down if you have not eaten. you need to feed your body.
