My 3 year old son had grommets fitted 2 weeks ago. Tonight, on my husbands watch, he put his head under the water in the bath. Do we need to do anything? Or just see if any thing happens?

A study has shown that it appears to make little difference as to whether children with grommets in their ears keep their heads out of water or, for example, go swimming normally:

No big deal....see what happens.
if in 2-3 days it starts to discharge, then drops may be needed, but not to worry, no harm will be done.
