You have been to your GP and a blood test has found an abnormality in your plasma proteins.
There may be many causes for this but a recent infection may well be a reason.
If there are gross abnormalities in any of the plasma proteins, then you will be referred to a Haematologist who will take a sample of your bone marrow.

That is just my guess with the information that you have provided.
I like bone marrow.
smurfchops.......I seem to have guessed correctly and my post remains unamended.

Thanks Sqad... Yes I am waiting for an appointment with a haematologist. Sounds painful ... Is this condition usually something to worry about?

By the way I had a lung infection a few months ago, around July
smurfy....bone marrow biopsy is done under local anaesthetic(freezing), not painful but uncomfortable ;-)

This condition ? we don't know what condition we are dealing with at the moment and that is the reason for the marrow biopsy.

Be patient and wait for the biopsy results.
