Get a nice soft one. The soft ones are the best as it is not about scrubbing, but protecting the gums. Good also if you have bleeders.
Aldi do a twin-pack of 'soft' toothbrushes for about a pound.

what Sharon - good if you have bleeders - are you saying massage them until they bleed - I hate blood.
a child's toothbrush? Also you have to use it gently. The softest toothbrush will scrub too hard if you put too much pressure on it.
you can buy "gum simulators" that gently massage the gums and help blood flow which has many benefits

no JJ Sharon meant if your gums naturally bleed easily.
No, no. If your gums bleed a lot, best to use a soft brush. Or you will end up with gum disease.

Looks like an instrument of torture!!!
So called Gum Massagers are primarily for interproximal cleaning (between teeth) and I think are somewhat Gimmicky.

You need a "Mega Soft" tooth brush.

I'm surprised your dentist didn't supply you with one, or even advise you on this - mine gave me one free (wit woo) after I had the implant surgery.
