I've been paying rent to the person I'm casually dating for living in their own house but recently been offered a room for half the price. I am only still staying with my lover because she sometimes gets really depressed when she's alone, and she can't handle me being away for a few weeks, leave alone move out for good only to see her few times a week... Still, parting with £400 every month is heart-breaking, especially because I study and can only work part-time... What do I do?
Thanks!

talk to your girlfriend.

You say you a casually dating her and that you only work part time,
as the dating isn't serious it's a no brainer, look after the Pennies.
oh god this is Gross !
So why are you moving? Because you need an excuse to leave your girlfriend , or the money? If its the money why not ask if you can pay less per month as you are struggling?
Which came first...the dating, or renting the room?
When you say you are only staying with your lover because she sometimes gets depressed do you mean staying in the house or staying with her?

If it’s purely about the money talk to her and try to work a better arrangement out.

If it’s only because you worry about her depression and you are actually looking for an out of the relationship. Move.
Move.
It's SO convenient.........STAY.
When you get fed up with her....MOVE.
As your name suggests, it's all about you. Board with benefits?
Lol Sqad ^^

It does not sound as if there is any emotional involvement on your part, get out, save some dosh.
If you have to ask, I think you know the answer. Don't stay with her just because you feel sorry for her.
Baldric...emotion? What has that got to do with it?
Now October and the winter weathers are upon us and you are suggesting that he gives up a "session" in the next room, for taking a bus, tube, walking, in the cold rain, snow and wind to get to the victim?
I sometimes wonder about you ex R.Ms.....;-)

It's the appeal of a spartan lifestyle Sqad, or at least it used to be, enjoy home comforts these days :o)
LOL^^
To answer seriously, if you love your partner tell her and tell her about your money worries, if you don't and you're using her for cheap room and board and a quickie when you fancy it do her a favour and go to the cheaper place.
Anyone else think carl is a little confused about his relationship with this woman? First of all he says //person I'm casually dating// then later says //staying with my lover// Make up your mind carl.
